Has TV skewed the facts about what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary?

...well, if TV has, then here are some of the true facts about what happened, that luckily, news reporters are now reporting accurately...

  • The Gunman, Adam Lanza was 20 years old
    • He shot his mother in the head four times at her home before heading to the school, shooting 26 more people
    • He had no criminal history, and was described as awkward, and did not have any close friends
    • He committed suicide after shooting 27 people on Friday, December 14, 2012
  • Six of the adults who were shot were women. The other 20 victims were all six or seven years old. 2 of the 20 children were taken to the hospital, and died there. That's why for a very long time, "18 children" was the victim count that everyone had come to understand, but actually there were 20 of them.
  • Newtown has a population of 27,000 people
  • Robbie Parker was the first brave parent to come out and speak about his daughter, a victim, 6-year old Emilie Parker. He fought through the tears, and spoke about how she "loved to draw" and that she loved life (Newton). He also offered his condolences to the gunman's family... he explained that he couldn't imagine what pain and hardship they are going through right now
For a very long time, the authorities believed that there were two shooters, but Adam Lanza attempted to steal the identity of his 24-year old brother, so that he was framed for some time.

  1. The News on the TV is just scrambling for facts for spewing out lies at some point. I already felt sad for the victims, but the same time, the News can't come up with the coverage. I still wonder why he done this at all.
