Joe Biden, New TV Star?

    

Honey Boo Boo and Kim Kardashian aren't the only reality TV stars. A petition on the White House website is urging the Obama Administration to authorize a TV show on cable network about Joe Biden's day to day schedule.  Biden's personality and presence will supposedly be a ratings grabber.  The petition states that the show will educate Americans about the vice presidents duties and show a different side of politics.  The petition has 600 signatures out of a goal of 2500. With all of the irregular remarks by the Vice President, the show is bound to be a success.

New TV?

Well, over winter break, our family got a 40 inch Philips LCD TV. I learned a lot about buying TV's, and some easy ways to go about the process of buying and installing TVs.

Tips -

• If you know someone who is good with TV's and installing them, ASK AND USE THEM! It will save you a $100 delivery and installation free. At most retailers, you cannot get the delivery and installation separately. We fit our 40' TV into a small Ford Focus, and then had a friend come over and install it!
• Before you buy your nice, brand new TV, make sure you have all the accessories you need - BlueRay player, or HDMI cable, or a mount to the wall or anything else you may need. That way, you can view your favorite TV shows and movies ASAP.
• Make sure that the TV you buy has all the features you want - NetFlix or Wi-Fi or LCD or LED or whatever your preferences are
• Don't go with a TV where you've never even heard of the brand name before. Samsung, Philips, and LG are all safe names to choose.

Gun Focused T.V Show Gets New Security After Newtown Shooting

The popularity of gun related T.V shows have been greatly affected after the killing in Newtown, Conn. "Sons of Guns" is aired on Discovery Channel and is about custom made assault rifles, sniper rifles, or just about any other form of weapon you can think of. Laurie Goldberg, a spokeswomen for Discovery Channel, could not state definitively what future, if any the show had. Goldberg stated that the show is not on schedule and is not on the schedule in the near future. Ms. Goldberg said that decision was unrelated to the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School and Discovery had quietly decided to drop the series three months ago. Others gun related shows such as "American Gun" have dropped in ratings recently also.
